The fifth horizontal photo was taken at the outdoor classroom at North Elementary. The photo puts on display the first fallen leaves of the season. It was taken from above, but close to, the ground in the early morning so the lighting was fantastic. The position of the shot captures the texture and detail of the leaves and twigs on the ground. The Rule of Thirds was used to compose this shot because brighter focal points were put in the sides of the photo. Different shades of black and white lead the viewer's eye throughout the piece. Towards the left of the photo it leans more towards being overexposed and as you move to the right the shades get darker, underexposed. But, this does not harm the photo. Sometimes photos can look back because they are too overexposed or underexposed. Textures also capture the attention of the viewer as they go throughout the piece.
My best example of exposure would have to be, in my opinion, the first photo. It has a good range of values between light and dark without being too underexposed or overexposed.
